Tagline: His brain came from a genius. His body came from a killer. His soul came from hell!
Plot: Cult favorite Hammer Films presents the sixth and final episode of its Frankenstein cycle, a series of films featuring the classic monster made famous by Universal Studios in the 1930s. Legendary horror film star Peter Cushing reprises his role as the mad Baron Frankenstein, this time taking refuge in an insane asylum where he plans to continue his evil experiments involving reanimation of the dead. With the help of his crazed assistant Dr. Helder (Shane Briant), Frankenstein creates a hairy, apelike creature stitched together from body parts culled from the asylum's criminal inhabitants (the gruesome monster is ably played by David Prowse, who would later rise to fame as STAR WARS' Darth Vader). Directed by horror maestro Terence Fisher, FRANKENSTEIN AND THE MONSTER FROM HELL features Hammer's trademark moody, gothic atmosphere, and also marks the last time Fisher and Cushing would work together.
