Plot: WESLEY DOYLE (Powers Boothe), the FBI agent heading the search for Texas' notorious "God's Hand" murderer, is understandably suspicious when a man walks into his office and announces that he knows the identity of the elusive serial killer. Introducing himself as FENTON MEIKS (Matthew McConaughey), he claims that his brother, Adam, killed all those people and then killed himself. But Adam's crimes are just one small part of a long and complex story that Meiks wants to share with Doyle so he will understand what motivated his brother to kill. Past and present converge as the two strangers drive together to the rose garden where Adam is buried and Meiks begins his tale of faith and retribution. It is 1979 and the Meiks brothers, twelve-year-old Fenton (Matthew O'Leary) and nine-year-old Adam (Jeremy Sumpter), enjoy an idyllic relationship with their father (Bill Paxton), a kind and sensitive man still recovering from the death of his beloved wife. The boys are happy and secure, until a sudden and inexplicable turn of events changes their lives forever. Dad announces that he has been visited by an Angel who has entrusted him with a holy mission. God has chosen him and his sons to destroy "demons" who pose as ordinary men and women. It's TBN done-up in Gothic Horror. Demons are taking over the world. That's the truth, huh, Jim? (He knows, he read about it on the Internet.) --B. Alan Orange (MovieWeb)
"Frailty" is gripping, thought-provoking and disturbing. What makes it so is, above all, Paxton's fearless performance in the movie's pivotal role. --Jason Best (BBC Films)
Though mostly unsuccessful, the film’s atmosphere and onscreen world are bound to stay with the viewer for a few days – it’s just not enough to recommend the film as a superior production. 65/100--Jon Lap (Apollo Guide)
This is one of those movies that doesn't need a lot of action and special effects going on to be good. ... A good horror film that keeps you thinking. The directing and acting was pulled off very well. Check this movie out. 7/10--FrighT MasteR (UHM)
This quiet film is strongly made, hard to watch at times and very well done and while it can't be recommended for entertainment value it is for being such an engrossing film with one Hell of a twist finish. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
Frailty's greatest success is that it develops its story beautifully, providing evidence to support both conclusions, all the while preying on the audience's preconceptions. 91/100--Jack Witzig (ColdSpot)
"Frailty" is easily the best totally "adult" horror film to emerge in years. By "adult," I mean it operates without any need for the supernatural, a mostly male cast and a straight story that honestly seems to come out of today's serial killer headlines.... Like "Session 9," there's no real gore in "Frailty" and almost no humor.-- (eSplatter.com)

Frailty is filmed around a very solid script which the actors bring to life. The acting in this movie was fantastic, Bill Paxton gives you chills, and he makes you believe that god is telling him the way, whether or not God truly is. --Mr Disgusting (Bloody-Disgusting.com)
...a delight to watch from start to finish, and the twists in its final third are mind-blowing.-- (slasherama.com)
