Plot: As a result of a spelling error, a rebellious country priest, instead of a cardinal, is elected Pope. The good-natured, but unorthodox priest sets out to dig up dirt on a Vatican banking scandal. Touching on the same points as "Godfather III", this innocuous romp features gags, and bits of business such as Vatican cable TV complete with exercise shows, and odd CNN play-by-play commentary.
