Plot: "The Miracle" is the quirky story of Jimmy, a teenager living in a coastal town in Ireland. His prime hobby is hanging around the seashore with his friend Rose and inventing stories about people on the beach. Then he meets Renee, a beautiful American woman who is performing in a theatre production in Dublin. Infatuated, Jimmy follows Renee around trying to seduce her. She resists but still agrees to spend time with the boy. Rose becomes jealous of Jimmy's relationship with Renee, so she takes up with another man, a performer in a visiting circus. After a terrible row with his father, who has forbidden him to see Renee, Jimmy learns Renee's real identity.
