Plot: Set in Chile after the 1973 military coup, this film chronicles the travails -- and enlightenment -- of a young woman named Irene. Irene and a dashing photographer investigate Angelina, who claims to be a living saint. But all three are confronted by brutish soldiers, one of whom Angelina humiliates. When troops kidnap Angelina in retaliation, Irene learns firsthand about the abuses of power by the Chilean military, a lesson that changes her life forever.
