Synopses for The Scoundrel's Wife (2002)
1.America has entered World War II. Husbands and sons fight in far-off lands. But along the Gulf Coast the war is much, much closer. Hitler's U-boats prowl coastal waters. Navy blimps patrol no-longer-tranquil fishing grounds. Torpedoed tankers ignite nighttime skies.

Based on actual events. In the Louisiana village of Cut Off, Camille Picou struggles to raise her two children. Already considered an outcast for long-ago crimes she did not commit, her troubles are worsened by the handsome Coast Guard ensign determined to ferret out saboteurs, the meddlesome rogue of a village priest, and the mysterious refugee Doctor Lenz, hiding from his past, whose secrets will change her life.

Another tanker is torpedoed. Drums of fuel come up missing. Rumors fly that someone is helping the enemy. As paranoia grows to fever pitch, Camille and Lenz must battle not only the authorities and their neighbors, but also the terror locked in each other's heart. -- © Overseas Filmgroup

2.  "Incredible...Never a dull moment...I loved this movie!"-FOX TV 7, Austin TX

Explosions rock the night as enemy U-boats torpedo American merchant ships in the Gulf of Mexico. Based on the true but little known story of World War II witch hunts for traitors in America's coastal fishing towns, The Home Front follows the story of a beautiful widow in Louisiana and a mysterious European doctor. Amid an air of resentment and mistrust, the two begin to fall in love. But when suspicions begin to swirl and angry citizens look for traitors, a Cost Guard Ensign is enlisted to unmask any saboteurs who may be aiding the German submarines-and his attentions focus on exposing the couple.
