Shadow of the Vampire Reviews

external linkThis is one nice looking film with moody production design and a muted yet extremely interesting premise. ... external link"Shadow" is not a film for every horror fan. It`s truly a thinking man`s horror picture. There isn`t a high body count, very little action and the humor is understated. external linkShadow of the Vampire successfully captures the heavy contrast between light and dark, the jagged contrasts between colors, and the general uneasy ambiance that is part and partial of German Expressionism. It is moody, it is atmospheric, and it will makeyour heart race without actually doing anything. [read review]

external linkWhat Shadow of the Vampire is, in fact, is the insightful and darkly humorous execution of a fascinating and original concept. It features humor surprising for such an ostesibly dark film. [read review] 4/5
