Tagline: They just have to finish the film... before it finishes them

Plot: 1985. The cast and crew of the horror flick are learning first hand what it means to be stalked by a masked killer. When the director is viciously murdered on set the production is shut down and the film locked away, incomplete. But every time the footage is screened, somebody dies...

Fourteen years later, a group of enthusiastic film students decide to finish HOT BLOODED. Led by Raffy, the director, and producer Hester, they manage to track down the star of the original film who reluctantly agrees to return to Australia. After shooting commences on the eerie film location, the students start to disappear one by one. Now, they just have to finish the film before it finishes

external linkBut the bottom line is my sheer disappointment. After sitting through the film's short 70-some-minute running time, I asked myself, "Was that really CUT?" Maybe I dreamt it.

external linkWith one cool mask on the killer, competent acting and lots of above average death scenes; this is a surprisingly enjoyable and fun time that may throw out an unexpected supernatural angle at the end but gets points for trying something new at least. 3/4

external linkThe best thing that can be said about this movie is that it is, at least, a genuine slasher film. But that's about all.

external linkBloody, funny, and gritty, 'Cut' isn't very pretty, or even stylish, but the attitude and feel of love for the material at hand gives off a nice ambience for the hardcore gorehound...For us who relish in titles such as ?I Dismember Mama?, ?Cut? could be a treasure to behold. 3/5

external linkThis was a fun film to watch. A lot more enjoyable than I thought it'd be and I'd say that it kicks a lot of these recent teen slashers in the nuts. ... An excellent slasher flick that kicks many other recent teen slashers in the nuts. I definatelly recom 7/10

external linkSuspenseful Australian slasher flick with very few scares. Cut is still a pretty neat slasher movie and I will have to recommend this one even though I consider the story to be quite silly since it's completely ludicrous. 3/5
