Dawson made her film debut in Larry Clark's controversial Kids in 1995. An intriguing selection of films followed including Spike Lee's He Got Game with Denzel Washington and Milla Jovovich, Light It Up with Vanessa L. Williams and singing star Usher Raymond, and Down to You with Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Julia Stiles. She can be seen later this year in Sidewalks of New York with actor-director Ed Burns and Heather Graham, and next year in the futuristic action- comedy Pluto Nash with Eddie Murphy. She recently completed filming Nine Scenes About Love, a dark comedy set in New York and developed at the Sundance Filmmakers Lab.
