Goofs from What Lies Beneath (2000)
1
Factual errors: Only 30 of Vermont's 250 towns have 911 service. Residents in rural areas, as it's established Norman and Claire are in, have to dial 7 or even 11 digits to call for emergency service. So it seems unlikely that Norman or Claire would be able to dial 911.

2
When the pickup truck first crashes in the water, it stalls and the headlights go out, but in the next scene they are on again. Besides a continuity error, this implies an unusually waterproof electrical system.

3
Crew or equipment visible: Claire walks into the bedroom for the first time past a mirror and you can see a cameraman's reflection for a split second.

4
Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Claire says, "I think she's starting to suspect something," her lips are saying something else.

5
Factual error: At the end of the movie Harrison Ford gives Michelle Pfeiffer a drug that supposedly paralyzes all of your voluntary muscles, that way she will not be able to move, but she will be fully conscious as she slowly drowns in the bathtub. The drug he gives her, Halothane, does not do this, however; it is merely an anaesthetic. Furthermore, any drug that does paralyze your voluntary muscles, inevitably also paralyzes your respiratory system, and you suffocate, you don't just remain immobile until it wears off, like the movie leads you to believe.
