Synopses for Journey to Prehistory (1955)

Inspired by the writings of Jules Verne, JOURNEY TO THE BEGINNING OF TIME follows four boys who go time travelling to the past. After a visit to the prehistoric hall of New York City's Museum of Natural History, they go rowing in Central Park and enter a cave which takes them back in time. At the beginning of the world they encounter creatures such as the saber-tooth tiger, pteranadon and the brontosaurus while witnessing a fight to the death between a stegosaurus and a ceratasaurus.
