Genre: Mystery, Comedy

Tagline: A comedy about passion, murder and things that can only happen in the movies.

Plot: Wilton (Def - BAMBOOZLED) and A.J. (Livingston - EDTV) aspire to be great documentary filmmakers--however, in the wake of their failed debut WATER IN THE APPLE, about New York's water system, they are having trouble getting anyone in the film industry to take them seriously. Determined to make it, they begin working on their next project, a sure-fire winner about private detectives in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, their poor instincts lead them to choose Joe Boone (Ferrer - TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME)--a bumbling detective who can't seem to find his way around the city, let alone solve any cases--as their subject. With the cameras rolling, the incompetent detective takes the would-be filmmakers on a bumbling, wild goose chase throughout Los Angeles in this offbeat, "reel-life" mockumentary.
