Takeshi Kaneshiro is (CHUNGKING EXPRESS) is Kenji, an aimless Japanese man living in New York who has a chance meeting with Death (Mira Sorvino), who tells him that he has twelve hours to live. His quest to make the most of his remaining time leads him through a series of unusual locales in Lower Manhattan where he meets a collection of oddball characters.
