Plot: Mississippi farmer Jackson Fentry lives alone, his quiet existence perfectly suiting his reserved personality. But his life changes when Sarah Eubanks, a pregnant woman abandoned by her husband, wanders by his farm. Jackson not only takes Sarah in, but helps her get through the rest of her pregnancy. In the process the pair fall in love, and Fentry marries Sarah shortly after she gives birth. Sadly, Sarah dies soon after, so Fentry raises Sarah's son on his own, the child serving as a constant reminder of the one woman who taught him how to love.
