Rock Hudson and George Peppard star in this World War II epic about a British assault on the German-occupied, Mediterranean port city of Tobruk.
Masquerading as Nazis, an elite fighting unit has to cross the Libyan desert and infiltrate General Rommel's Mediterranean stronghold. Their mission is to destroy the fuel supplies that would enable the Desert Fox to lead his Panzer divisions toward the Suez Canal.
