Plot: Jane (Samantha Mathis), a young woman who has just been told she is HIV-positive, finds herself being followed around by Tony (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), an ill young man. Jane doesn't want to have anything to do with other people, but Tony persists until the two wounded individuals form a bond stronger than either has known in a long time. SWEET JANE is a heartfelt independent film that successfully takes on a gritty and depressing subject and creates a vital and emotional piece of work.
