POW Eddie Keller returns to the US to discover that everything he once had is gone: his wife's dumped him for someone new, his daughter considers him a stranger, his mother's seriously ill, and his business is kaput. The only good news in his life is Toni, a prostitute who really cares for him; but all her entreaties cannot prevent Eddie from turning to a life of crime. Before too long, he has to make a choice: which more important -- morality or hard, cold cash?
