 Despite the formidable task of making a follow-up to the first film, director Cannon and writer Trey Callaway were able to come up with a sequel full of enough Hitchcockian thrills and mystery to guarantee that the newly revived teeny-bopper slasher genre will be alive and kicking for some time to come. Can someone tell me why every time a mystery killer is uncovered in the “new slasher trend” flicks, he has to go into endless monologues and becomes a master of one liners? How annoying! This is one summer too many. Hope the next sequel is written by someone that graduated high school. [read review]
