Plot: Adapted from the novel by Herman Hesse, and filmed in a breathtaking part of Northern India by director screenwriter Conrad Rooks (CHAPPAQUA) and cinematographer Sven Nykvist, SIDDHARTHA tells the story of a young man seeking spiritual salvation. Unfortunately he follows the path to material wealth instead, and soon discovers that his life is empty and meaningless. Abandoning his riches he instead takes up his search for spiritual well-being once again, with some fascinating results.
