 Synopses for Shy People (1987)
1.A sophisticated New York journalist, assigned to write an article on her family tree, takes her sullen teenage daughter in tow and heads down to the Louisiana Bayou to meet some of her relatives. But when they arrive in the primitive swampland, she discovers a strange and sometimes dangerous world, different from any she's ever known -- and she's not sure she can even trust her own family to help her.
