Scat and Hot Lips are a couple of fun-loving, trouble-prone buddies who, after setting a circus ablaze, flee to Rio de Janeiro on a boat. Also aboard is the lovely Lucia, who's being hypnotized by her greedy Aunt Catherine. Why? Catherine is trying to coerce Lucia can into an arranged marriage that would be quite lucrative for the family. Can Scat and Hot Lips save the Latin lass before it's too late?

Two ocean liner stowaways (Hope & Crosby) find themselves competing against each other for the affection of the same woman. So the two small-time musicians are off to Rio to put a halt to the South American beauty's marriage, arranged by her aunt.
