Based on real events that occurred in California in 1986, "Rampage" tells the story of a seemingly normal young man who suddenly goes on a killing spree, slaughtering five people. The DA assigned to prosecute him does not believe in the death penalty, but after becoming more deeply involved in the case he realizes that if the young man is deemed insane, a very lenient and neglectful system will at some point set him free. And when that happens, he will more than likely kill again.
