Plot: In 1971, a man calling himself D.B. Cooper, equipped with two parachutes and a fake bomb, hijacked a 747. He demanded $200,000, and after receiving it, leapt from the plane. Neither he nor the money were ever seen again.

This film takes a fictional look at what happened next. The hijacker, an unstable but charming man named J.R. Meade, lands in the forests of Washington, and makes his way back home. Once there, he gathers his long-suffering wife, and heads for Mexico. But two men are separately pursuing J.R.: one is Bill Gruen, an airline insurance investigator, who was Meade's Green Beret instructor. The other is Mason Remson, who served with Meade in Vietnam... and wants to get his hands on some of Meade's money. Can Meade successfully elude both men, and pull off the perfect crime?
