Plot: Former college professor William Conroy (Rob Lowe) is a convict serving time for vehicular manslaughter. He discovers some suspicious doings at the prison when a fellow inmate tells him that fourteen inmates have died over the past two years--then turns up dead the next day. When the van carrying Conroy to his parole hearing crashes, he flees the accident site and sets out to uncover the conspiracy. Academy Award winner James Coburn costars as the unscrupulous warden.
