Swan, a retired detective (Dennis Hopper), gets a postcard from the Prophet, a serial killer he had tracked down and killed years before. At the same time, new people turn up dead in the same manner as the Prophet's victims. Swan has to learn whether he is being taunted by a copycat killer or if he killed the wrong man all those years ago. A sneaky thriller with a strong performance from Hopper as the threatened cop.

A Serial Killer Has Finally Met His Match
Retired Seattle cop Vincent Swan (Dennis Hopper) receives a postcard from a serial killer he thought long dead. He begins to wonder if he shot the wrong man or if he is being taunted by a copycat. When he learns of a string of Los Angeles murders that follow the Prophet's M.O., he starts his investigation, aided by an L.A. detective (Stephanie Zimbalist). But every move he makes only entangles him further in the Prophet's web, and the spider is advancing.
