Exuding an exceptional maturity both on and off the screen, KATIE HOLMES (Rachel Dawes) is a captivating young woman, landing major roles in both feature film and television.
Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio Holmes began acting in high school theater productions but didn’t believe she had a chance at a professional acting career living in the Midwest. Fate intervened, and while attending a national modeling and talent convention in New York City, she met a manager who encouraged her to come to Los Angeles for television’s pilot season. Holmes landed the part of Joey on the WB hit Dawson’s Creek. Co-starring with James Van Der Beek, Joshua Jackson and Michelle Williams, the show gained much attention in its first season and was the highest rated show on the network.
Holmes recently wrapped production on the dark comedy Thank You For Smoking, starring opposite Robert Duvall and directed by Jason Reitman.
