ELIZABETH MITCHELL (Carol Newman) made her breakthrough performance opposite Angelina Jolie in the acclaimed HBO telefilm, "Gia." She most recently starred as Dr. Kim Legaspi on the long-running NBC series "ER" and in the limited run ABC drama "The Beast." Before that, Mitchell received rave reviews for her performance in the title role in "The Linda McCartney Story" for CBS and in the BBC adaptation of Tony Parson’s novel "Man and Boy." Mitchell’s feature film credits include "Molly," in which she starred with Elizabeth Shue and Aaron Eckhardt, the critically acclaimed "Nurse Betty," opposite Renee Zellweger and Greg Kinnear, and the sci-fi feature "Frequency," in which she starred opposite Dennis Quaid.
Mitchell earned a BFA degree in Acting from Stephens College and also studied at the British American Drama Academy. She spent six years at the respected Dallas Theatre Center and one year with the theatre’s Encore Company. Her theatrical stage credits include productions of "As You Like It," "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," "Measure for Measure," "Baby," and "Chicago," among others.
