Action packed with some high-class special effects this is an entertaining throw-back to the old matinees with a touch of Indiana Jones thrown into the mix. Fraser makes an affable hero and there's a lot of amusing moments but it's the effects that rule the show here, and boy are they a doozy. [read review]

The acting and characters are all overly broad, but that suits the movie's tone perfectly. The Mummy is focused on being a summer popcorn flick, not on being a classic, and it suceeds. [read review]
