KERR SMITH (Carter) joined the cast of "Dawson's Creek" in September '98. Smith is currently shooting the third season of "Dawson's Creek" on location in North Carolina. His feature credits include Kiss and Tell, an improvisational comedy; and Hit and Runaway, an independent feature film that won Best Screenplay at the L.A. Independent Film Festival last year. Smith is also remembered for his portrayal of Ryder Hughes on the CBS daytime drama "As The World Turns." In 1996, his outstanding performance earned him The Best New Actor Award from Soap Opera Magazine.
