When naive Kevin (Rapaport) discovers that his biological father is the kingpin of a local organized crime family, he decides not to reveal the potentially disastrous news to his girlfriend (Taylor). However, when his dad is sent to the sweet hereafter, Kevin is chosen to take over the family business. Soon enough, he learns that he's inherited his father's enemies as well. Now, Kevin's on the run, evading capture and facing certain death while still trying to keep his girlfriend in the dark.

Kevin (Rapaport) finds out his biological father is the local mob kingpin and keeps it a secret from his fiancée (Taylor). When his father is killed by a rival mob, Kevin is appointed as his replacement and learns that his father's enemies are after him. Now Kevin is running for his life, not knowing whom to trust while trying to figure out who's out to kill him.
