Stellar filming of King's tale due to its engrossing script and strong direction. Ferrer's character is a pretty unlikeable lout but it suits the story well. There's a lot of visually pleasing moments on show here with some impressive gore effects and it's all tied-up very nicely with the good twist ending. ... One of the better films based on King's work.
