Plot: A poignant coming of age story set in the wake of Pearl Harbor, just as the US is entering WWII, I'LL REMEMBER APRIL is the story of four young boys and their first experience with the paranoia and racism war bring about. These four ten year old boys find a Japanese sailor washed up on the California shore right after the bombing of Pearl Harbor and, hoping to become heroes, they take him prisoner. However, when they see the violent anti-Japanese sentiment in their town, and the sailor save one of their lives, the boys begin to think twice both about turning the sailor in and about their town's sudden persecution of all its Japanese residents.
