San Francisco, 1952. Kevin Walker, a talented law school grad, is ready to make his mark on the world. Luckily, the local F.B.I. office is eager to make use of Kevin. Once his assignment to uncover San Francisco's underground Chinese communists gets underway, Kevin realizes he's simply a professional man-hunter. But the success driven up-start heeds the instructions of higher-ups and obediently does his duty by setting-up a bunch of men -- one of whom is innocent. When Kevin finds himself in love with the guiltless man's daughter, he realizes there are several wrongs he had better try to make right.
