Plot: In 19th century England, a young, innocent woman named Bella has just been seduced and abandoned. Pregnant from the encounter, and all alone, she searches for the man who ruined her. Her tragic journey through the wind and rain ends when she loses her baby -- and finds a home with a sympathetic couple. But each of the couple's three sons falls in love with Bella, setting off a fierce rivalry that finally destroys the fabric of the clan.
