Battle Royale Reviews |
has a killer story, amazing real (and sometime shocking) dialogue, gruesome effects, and more emotion than any splatter film ever made. These are real people in an unreal environment, which hits much closer to home than your average zombie bloodbath. [read review] --Ted Geoghegan (Diabolical-Dominion.com)
I would have given the movie a higher rating, but I'm really picky when it comes to 10-ratings and this film came very close to getting one. I think this movie is a MUST for anyone who is tired of the boring shit the MPAA hands out here in America. [read review] --FrighT MasteR (UHM)
Though it might not be for everyone, it is still a nicely put together film with some good acting, nice camera work, and for us horror fans some good kills. I say for anyone looking to experiment with Asian horror, this is the film to start with. [read review] --Zaero (Bloody-Disgusting.com)
If I find myself asking 'How an earth was this film allowed to be made, let alone released?' It's my kind of movie. Disturbing, funny, ultra-violent and pushing the boundaries of taste which few films do nowadays. Great stuff! [read review] --Alex Chenery (Diabolical-Dominion.com)
This is a movie that shows Hollywood just what can be done with a decent story and a bit of imagination. So it doesn't have flashy effects to make it's statement but what it does have is balls, great big shiny ones. [read review] 7/10 --Vaughan Dyche (thefilmasylum.com)
"Battle Royale" is a disturbing film to say the least, and definitely one that could never have been made in the United States. [read review] -- (eSplatter.com)
