Tagline: A Killer Comedy
Plot: A three man documentary crew (the film's actual directors) follows serial killer/thief Ben around as he conducts his business, and finances their project. In-between, the four wax philosophically on art, poetry, society, and the particular ways to dispose of bodies. When Ben starts to include the film crew in his various exploits, the crew begins to wonder whether or not they should abandon the project, before it's too late.Documentary filmmakers Andre and Remy have found an ideal subject in Ben. He is witty, sophisticated, intelligent, well-liked -- and a serial killer. As Andre and Remy document Ben's routines, they become increasingly entwined in his vicious program, sacrificing their objectivity and their morality. Controversial winner of the International Critics's Prize at the 1992 Cannes Film Festival, Man Bites Dog stunned audiences worldwide with its unflinching imagery and biting satire of media violence. Made by three Belgian film students, “Man Bites Dog” was the prize winning sensation at the 1992 Cannes Film Festival and has achieved cult status.
