Daniel Sackheim in Glass House, The (2001)

DANIEL SACKHEIM (Director) makes his feature film directorial debut with The Glass House.

Although Sackheim began his feature career relatively recently as a producer on the 1998 motion picture The X-Files, he has had a lengthy run in television including a particularly prosperous association with the creator of "The X-Files," Chris Carter. Most recently, Sackheim served as executive producer and pilot director on Carter's ambitious television creation "Harsh Realm." He also produced the 1993 "X-Files" pilot in addition to directing a number of episodes during the shows six seasons. In fact, Sackheim showcased his natural talent for direction with one of the series' most famous episodes, "The Host," which involved a genetically-mutated creature in the sewer systems of Newark, New Jersey.

A 1994 Emmy Award winner (Best Director, Dramatic Series) for his direction of one of the first episodes of "NYPD Blue," Sackheim's television career dates back to "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" and "Miami Vice," where he served as associate producer. From 1991 to 1994 he was a producer/director on the TV series "Law & Order." Other successful directorial projects of Sackheim's include the CBS movie-of-the-week "In the Shadow of Evil" and the HBO miniseries "Grand Avenue."
