MIKA BOOREM (Penny) (Penny) received critical acclaim — as Mel Gibson’s daughter in The Patriot. She recently appeared as Carol Gerber opposite Anthony Hopkins in Hearts of Atlantis, played a young Drew Barrymore in Riding in Cars With Boys and was seen in Along Came A Spider starring Morgan Freeman. Also, due in theaters this fall, Boorem will be seen opposite Julia Stiles and Shirley MacLame in Carolina.
Her film credits also include A Memory in My Heart and Mighty Joe Young, as a young Charlize Theron. She was nominated for The Hollywood Reporter’s Young Star Award in 1998 and 1999 for her performances in Jack Frost and The Education of Little Tree.
Her television credits include Ally McBeal in which she played a young Ally and, numerous episodes of Touched By an Angel, including the hit series 100th episode co-starring Celine Dion and Wynonna Judd.
She has excelled in scholastics at the prestigious Le Lycee Francais School in Los Angeles and recently received the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence.
