Mark Twain's classic novel "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" was made into a Broadway musical and several films. The earliest filmed version was made in 1921 and directed by Emmett J. Flynn. Another version entitled "A Connecticut Yankee" was made in 1931. It was directed by David Butler and starred Will Rogers and Maureen O'Sullivan. Most recently, in 1989, an updated version was made starring Keshia Knight Pulliam and directed by Mel Damski.
