Plot: Rebecca De Mornay stars as Barbara, a Detroit con artist who meets her match in this clever mixture of romantic comedy and intrigue. Barbara is in trouble with the mob, drowning in debt, and desperate for money to pay back a large loan. Searching for a lead, she learns of a perfect scam waiting for her in rural Mississippi. Bobby Sommerdinger (William H. Macy) is a shy and nerdy auto mechanic who doesn't know that he is about to inherit two million dollars. Barbara doesn't waste any time; she moves to Bobby's hometown and gets a job teaching elementary school while making hysterical attempts to get to know the reclusive middle-aged bachelor. Although he is hesistant at first, he eventually succumbs to Barbara's feminine wiles and they end up at the altar. There is just one problem: Bobby is on to Barbara's scam, and he has the perfect foil. This witty and entertaining USA original production was cowritten by leading funny man William H. Macy.
