Three short stories comprise this film, which deals with the issues and themes related to homosexuality. "A Friend of Dorothy" deals with a young woman who enlists in the navy in the 1950's only to discover lesbianism. "Mr. Roberts" follows the travails of a 1970s teacher as he attempts to keep his homosexuality closeted. "Amos and Andy" deals with a father's feelings regarding his son's wedding to another man.
