How many types of lust are there? This film's round robin of 14 lovers, sex partners and victims displays 28 types of sexual desire. The story begins when a jilted singer has a one night fling with a construction worker. From here the story peeks into the workman's marriage, his wife's boss's depravity and so on, moving from New York underground to poverty row to affluent hipness. As the pairs couple and uncouple desire takes on a lightness and insignificance. When the original chantuese learns her boyfriend is HIV positive, a somber shadow is cast over the encounters.
