Plot: Cranky, stressed-out TV producer Lucy Cullins (Whoopi Goldberg) works for a home shopping television station. With Christmas fast approaching, she is in charge of hiring the channel's on-air Santa Claus. Meanwhile, the real Santa Claus (Nigel Hawthorne, THE MADNESS OF KING GEORGE) is at the end of his 200-year contract. He heard of the position at the station and applies for the job--but Lucy doesn't believe his credentials, and the real Santa must convince her that he is the right man to play himself! Executive produced by Garth Brooks, this touching tribute to Christmas is fun for all ages.
