Good film, but not something you'd really expect. More of an actor-driven movie with a very good plot that leads to a whacked out ending. Not really recommended unless you don't mind waiting an hour for the horror to start. Might be a good film for all you plot lovers though. [read review] 6/10 -- (UHM)
I'd expect fans of Japanese cinema to enjoy this, and certainly the last third of it is perfect for those that enjoy the more extreme side of horror, but for the majority of genre fans this doesn't cut it. Miike is quite popular (as far as Asian horror directors go), but if all his stuff is edited and filmed like this I can't see why. [read review] -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
A clever, well thought out, disturbing horror drama, which deserves almost all the credit that it can get. So... why didn't I give it five stars? Well, you see, I didn't really understand the ending, so it didn't make much sense to me. [read review] --AnthroFred (SlasherPool)
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie because of it's genius directing and storytelling. Go rent this now, if you’re ready for some creepiness. [read review] --Bad_Generation (Bloody-Disgusting.com)
