The people behind this were obviously having fun with it and it rubs off. It may be fairly dumb but it's got enough amusing jokes and is campy enough to be entertaining. ... Well made semi-spoof for people who like such fare as The Toxic Avenger and Killer Klowns From Outer Space. -- (TheVideoGraveYard.com)
All the pain and death inflicted by Mr. Frost is silly--this movie has the dubious honor of including the most ridiculous rape scene ever filmed. ... Don't get me wrong, though--Jack Frost is still pretty bad. --Jack Witzig (ColdSpot)

One of the few films in recent memory that qualifies for a "so bad it's funny" recommendations. In an apparent—and utterly failed—attempt to start a new franchise modeled perhaps after the "Child's Play" series, somebody came up with the idea of movie about a snowman that makes wisecracks and kills people.-- (eSplatter.com)
