The widow (Haiduk) of a murdered wealthy socialite is also the key suspect in his homicide investigation. When she gives the inheritance to charity she also hides what was once an obvious motive. Coincidentally, one of the detectives (Ashby) on the case was a close friend of the deceased and uses this connection more closely observe the beautiful suspect, though maybe a little too close for his own good.
