Plot: "American Strays" covers the lives of a group of eccentrics as they unwittingly chart a collision course into each other.

Driving through the desert are: a travelling salesman who cannot sell his products; a wimpy laid-off corporate employee and his family; a suicidal young man who lacks the energy to kill himself; two gabby hit men; a male-female duo of horny crooks; and a mysterious brunette bombshell.

All these people stop at Red's Desert Oasis Diner for a break in which everyone's frustrations just might explode into violence.
