KELLY HU (Cassandra) has become a familiar face to American television viewers as a star of such series as Martial Law, Sunset Beach and Nash Bridges, often displaying her formidable martial arts abilities. Although she has appeared in several feature films, her role in The Scorpion King is her first as the leading lady of a major Hollywood production.
The Honolulu, Hawaii native is a fourth generation American with Chinese, Hawaiian and English ancestry. Athletic and active as a child, she was named Miss Teen USA in 1985, and later represented Hawaii in the Miss USA Pageant.
After moving to Los Angeles, Hu soon landed guest roles in the television series Growing Pains, Night Court, Tour of Duty, 21 Jump Street, Melrose Place and Pacific Blue among others. She has appeared in films including The Doors and No Way Back. She is a black belt in karate.
