Grace's taken-for-dead husband who returns without warning from the front, is played by CHRISTOPHER ECCLESTON, who most recently appeared in the thriller "Gone in 60 Seconds" with Nicholas Cage and Angelina Jolie.
Eccleston's film credits include the role of Wolf in "The Invisible Circus," the Duke of Norfolk in Shehkar Kapur's Oscar- winning "Elizabeth," the title role of Michael Winterbottom's adaptation of "Jude," and the role of Sender in "A Price Above Rubies," directed by Boaz Yakin. He also starred in Winterbottom's "With or Without You"," as well as in David Cronenburg's eXistenZ," DannyBoyle's "Shallow Grave," Peter Medak's "Let Him Have It" and Chris Newby's "Anchoress."
Eccleston is also a familiar face on British television, where he has appeared in a number of highly regarded dramas and series. His theatre credits include "Bent" at the National Theatre, "A Streetcar Named Desire" at the Bristol Old Vic, and "Miss Julie" at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London's West End. He will next be seen in Danny Boyle's "Strumpet" and Ole Bornedal's "I am Dina."
