Plot: Claude Sautet's classic romantic comedy stars Yves Montand as Cesar, a successful middle-aged businessman married to the young and beautiful Rosalie. Their marriage has been happy, but when Rosalie's old boyfriend David shows up to try and woo her away from her husband, it provokes a jealous reaction from Cesar that pushes her into David's arms. However, Rosalie seems unable to choose between the two men, vacillating between them over the years until one final desperate act ends the love triangle once and for all.
